Holiday Family Portrait in Florida

Our Family Portrait by Kat Braman | Duartes 2018

Are you ready for the holiday season yet? I am slowly crossing things off my checklist, and am excited to dive into styling our annual holiday portrait session for our Christmas cards. This is a crazy time of year for us, filled with celebrations and lots of fun activities we reserved for the holidays. This includes celebrating our girls’ birthday, hosting our annual wine tasting party, and supporting the arts with our annual family tradition of watching the Nutcracker Ballet every December.

I encourage you to find time to savor everything this season has to offer, and that you take time to set aside some important dates to help you ease into this busy season.

If you’re also planning a holiday portrait session, here are some styling tips to make these extra special this year:

  • Agree on a theme based on a holiday, season, or location (i.e. Christmas, summer, beach)
  • Set the tone for the formality of your photos (i.e. formal, casual, playful)
  • Color coordinate your outfits (no more than three colors)
  • Think about how you’ll use the photos (in a card, framed on a wall) and let your photographer know so you get THE best shot to use later

If you’re interested in creating beautifully styled portraits for the holidays or to celebrate your anniversary, inquire today about our styling services for your family portraits.
