Royal Wedding Inspiration | English Romance
Inspired by the upcoming Royal Wedding, I’m daydreaming about designing an English wedding fit for a princess. I remember watching Princess Diana’s wedding broadcast live on TV when I was a little girl. Now, my own daughters are the same age I was at that time and equally excited about the upcoming royal nuptials being celebrated in England this month.
My fascination with royalty has followed me throughout my life. When I lived in London, I remember spending quiet afternoons in the gardens at Kensington Palace which was just a few minutes away from my flat. I couldn’t believe the Princess’ palace grounds were open to the public and loved the quite solitude I enjoyed during each visit to the Palace.
This fascination with royalty and grandeur led me to explore many castles and palaces across the world, and I will always hold a special place in my heart for Kensington Palace and its beautiful English garden. Its quiet beauty exudes the elegance and romance of Princess Diana’s memory and is a true testament to the legacy she left behind.
Inspired by this experience, I designed two wedding inspiration boards for the upcoming royal wedding. I love the modern edge and flair Meghan Markle is bringing to the royal family and am sure she will not disappoint us.
I’m inspired by both a vision of ethereal romance and one of subtle glamour…which do you prefer?
